Economic Policy Uncertainty Index

The Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) Index is a measure of economic-policy uncertainty developed by economists at Northwestern and Stanford universities. It counts instances of the word "uncertainty" (in the context of economic policy) in over 1,000 mostly local newspapers across America.

Real software engineers work from 9 to 5, because that is the way the job is described in the formal spec. Working late would feel like using an undocumented external procedure.
